Kesha Rose Severt was born California to a single mom, Pebe Sebert, who is also also a singer-songwriter. Ke$ha’s childhood wasn’t great, and her mom struggled to support her and her older brother. After the family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, Ke$ha started attending a music school. Even though she was a great student, she dropped out when she was 17 and went back to Los Angeles to pursue a music career.
