What Should I Be for Halloween?
October 14, 2008
Man, I am so excited... Halloween is only a couple weeks away!
I usually plan out my costume way ahead of time, but this year I'm totally stumped. Last year, I dressed up as the Corpse Bride and the year before that, I was an astronaut. So what should I be this year? I've been racking my brain, but all I come up with is... nothing.
What are you dressing up as this year? And do you have any costume ideas for me? Let me know cuz I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions!

Looking Forward to Fall
September 30, 2008
Fall is my favorite season. I love the cool days, the crispness in the air, the changing colors of the leaves, all of the cozy sweaters and warm jackets I get to wear. Plus, it's the season of my favorite holiday - Halloween! Dressing up in crazy costumes, watching scary movies, going trick-or-treating and then munching on all that candy afterwards... aahh so much to look forward to in the fall!
What are you guys looking forward to this season? Drop me a comment!

ABDC 3!
September 16, 2008
Is anyone else as excited as I am about the third season of America's Best Dance Crew? Don't know if there are any dance crews out there who are better than JabbaWockeeZ or Super Cr3w, so we'll just have to wait and see!
I heard auditions start in October, so if any of you are thinking of trying out for season three, click here cuz KW posted all the casting details you need to know. Good luck... I would audition too, if I could dance!

Goodbye Summer, Hello School
September 2, 2008
Ugh, it's so hard to go back to school after such a relaxing summer vacation!
The only good thing about this time of year is going back-to-school shopping for new clothes and cool school supplies. And seeing all of my friends and classmates again. And also checking out any extracurricular activities that I might want to join this year. Oh, and getting to know the new students and making new friends. Okay, I guess there are quite a few great things to look forward to about going back to school. But it's still so hard to wake up early every morning, to do homework every night, to study for quizzes...
Do you have any good tips to get back into school mode? Let me know!

An Olympic Volunteer in the Making
August 19, 2008
So I'm thinking about volunteering for the next Olympics. It came to mind while I was watching the swimming competitions and noticed those volunteers who hand out towels to the athletes at the end of each race. I could do that!
Just think about it - you could watch the events while waiting to hand out your load of fresh towels to the swimmers. Sounds fun and easy, if you ask me.
If any of you are interested in volunteering for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver or the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, go check out Volunteering for the Olympics on the KW site.

Countdown to the Olympics!
August 5, 2008
The Summer Olympics start in just three days!
I'm looking forward to watching all the water sports events... especially swimming... especially Michael Phelps! Think he'll win six gold medals like he did during the '04 Olympics in Athens?
I also want to check out Dara Torres. At 41 years old, she's pretty old for an athlete, but she beat the American record in the 50 meter freestyle at the Olympic trials! You go, girl!
Can't wait to tune in!
Peace Out,

Got a New Bathing Suit!
July 22, 2008
Hey, have you guys checked out Kidzworld's Bathing Suits to Fit Your Body article? After reading it, I just had to get my hands on the skulls and crossbones tankini set from Alloy! I bought it online last week, and it came in the mail today! It's even more cute in person, and it wasn't very expensive either. The tankini was on sale for $22.50 and the bikini bottoms were $19.50.
Can't wait to hit the beach and test out my new suit. I'll let you know how it holds up. Anyway, hope you're all havin' a great summer vacation so far!
Peace Out,
Sindy
Shopping for Swimsuits
July 8, 2008
So I need to buy a new bathing suit. One that's cute AND flattering. My old one is so faded and old-looking that it's bordering on gross. But it's so hard to find the perfect suit!
Have any of you taken Kidzworld's quiz on finding your swimsuit style? I just took it and I got athletic style, which makes sense since I need a suit that can handle the big waves when I'm out surfing. If you haven't taken the quiz yet, go do it right now! Here's the link - Quiz! What's Your Swimsuit Style?
Drop me a comment and let me know your results!

The Start of Summer Vacation!
June 24, 2008
So I've recovered from the prom incident and learned my lesson - never, ever buy anything from the mall again! Actually, that's being a little extreme. I'll still buy stuff at the mall, but I'm gonna try shopping more at vintage shops and thrift stores from now on.
Anyway, school is over and my summer vacation has officially started! What to do, what to do...
Well, I definitely have to get myself a job, or else I'll be broke and won't be able to go shopping or watch any of the movies I've been dying to watch, like Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones. I figure I could work at the surf shop with Finn again. That would be ideal so that we can sneak in some surf sessions on our lunch breaks and stuff. I kinda want to try something different this summer though, like working at the zoo or the local thrift shop, which would be cool cuz I'd get great discounts!
Are you guys gonna look for a summer job? Or are you going somewhere cool with your family? Drop me a comment and let me know how you're spending your summer vacation!
Peace Out,
Sindy
What Happened on Prom Night...
June 10, 2008
So prom was last weekend. It started off great - the music rocked, I was dancing and having fun with Finn and my friends, and I knew I looked fabulous in my new black dress! And then the worst thing imaginable happened...
... another girl showed up wearing the exact same dress as me! I have no idea who she was. I think she came as one of my classmate's date. I thought about the classic move of pouring punch down her dress so that she would have to leave the dance, but that would've been way too mean. Luckily, we were wearing completely different accessories, so we looked somewhat different. I was wearing flats; she was wearing wedges. I had on lots of funky bracelets and necklaces, whereas she wore a single strand of pearls. Plus, I made sure we were always on opposite ends of the room. Needless to say, I didn't have a great prom cuz I was too focused on that girl and not on having a good time with Finn.
Has anything like this ever happened to you? Have you ever shown up at a party, and someone there was wearing the exact same thing as you? I thought it was pretty mortifying and I'd like to hear what you guys think. Drop me a comment and let me know!
Peace Out,
Sindy
