Final Fantasy News
The Final Fantasy (FF) series is a legendary series of role-playing games (RPGs) from Squaresoft. It's about controlling heroes and adventurers, escaping villains, solving mysteries and saving the world. You can power up your heroes - like training Pokemon - by finding powerful items, earning experience and learning magic. Your heroes travel through forests, soar the skies in airships and even fly to the moon in their adventures.
The first Final Fantasy games were made for Nintendo and Super Nintendo a long time ago. FF III was the last one for the Nintendo. Then FF VII came out for Playstation and it ROCKED! Great graphics, massive monsters and a super story that led the heroes across the world. FF VIII was kinda dull but FF IX is a total classic.
What happened to Final Fantasy IV, V and VI? The FF games are originally from Japan and not all of them were translated into english. FF VI finally came out in the US on the Final Fantasy Anthology CD for Playstation. The other two are still in Japanese on the Super Famicom.
Now there's a new game. Final Fantasy X for the Playstation 2. It's loaded with graphics that'll make you drool and enough action to fill a swimming pool. Final Fantasy is looking better than ever. It's even making the leap onto the bigscreen on July 13th when Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie premieres.
If you like RPG games with wicked stories check out the Final Fantasy series. You can pick up some of the older ones pretty cheap or splurge for the snazzy new PS2 version when it comes out. Either way it's a series to remember.

I've never played the FF Series before but I know that they just gotta kick butt because the characters in Kingdom Hearts from this series are pretty cool.

I can't believe they compared this wonderful series to Pok�mon. Final Fantasy has been around since the late 1980s, firstly on Nintendo. Yes, IV, and VI were released here, but only in the form of easy games. Then the Playstation versions came out and everyone became all 'old school'. It's ridiculous to look past a beautiful storyline (like VIII's, but wasn't expressed thoroughly, meaning that people would hate it) and looking at the graphics instead. What has the world come to? Go plug in a NES or a SNES and LEARN, you fanboys/girls!
