How to Plan a BBQ Cook-Off

No one would want to wear an apron to a party, except to this one! Find out how to have fun flipping hamburger patties with Kidzworld's party planning tips!

What's Cooking?

What do you do at a BBQ? Chow down, of course! But let's make it interesting - have an Iron Chef-style competition to see who can make the best burgers or hot dogs! You and your friends can pile on jalapenos and red hot chili peppers for a spicy kick, or keep it All-American by sticking with ketchup and mustard - and apple pie? The world is your oyster... hey, that's another ingredient you can use! As well as working the barbeque grill, your 'rents can be the judges and hand out prizes for the tastiest dish, best presentation and most creative.

It's More Fun When There's a Theme

If you want to take your party one step further, create a theme. A couple of ideas are a Hawaiian Luau, where you dress up in grass skirts and leis and learn to do the hula, or a Life's a Beach theme, where everyone wears their bathing suits and grooves to classics like Surfin' USA by The Beach Boys and Wipeout by The Surfaris! If you don't know these songs, just ask the 'rents to dig their old records out of the dusty closet.

Time to Get Out of the Kitchen

After a day packed with friendly competition and good eats, your pals won't be able to keep their eyes open for too long - so invite them to spend the night! When you get up the next morning, you can have a breakfast cook-off for the yummiest pancakes or the most creative way to make eggs - or just eat leftovers from yesterday's BBQ.

Mickey_feature In 2001 Disney released a Christmas Special called Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed In At The House Of Mouse. Now, eight long years later (and just in time for the holidays), the same movie is being re-released on DVD.
Mj_feature Even though This Is It is not really a movie for kids, and some of you may not want to or be allowed to watch it, we thought we'd review it for you because so many kids out there love Michael Jackson.
