Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Book Review

Author: J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter stories have grabbed millions of readers all over the world and now the wait for her sixth book is over with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It's packed full of Harry Potter goodness and really spills the beans about Voldemort's history. Check out our review!

Back to Hogwarts with Harry, Hermione and Ron

Harry and his friends are 16 now and this year at Hogwarts is a big one for them. There are Apparition classes, the wizardly equivalent of a driver's licence! Plus, everybody's hormones start flaring, Ron gets his first kiss and there's an explosion of dating drama that could keep Dear Dish-It busy for years!

Magic and Mystery

All the action at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is amazing. J.K. Rowling does an excellent job with this new story. She mixes action and romance with a dose of mystery and a side order of excitement. What's really incredible though is how much Harry grows up and how well he handles his responsibilities. It's also incredible to find out about Voldemort's history and the secrets of his power.

Dark Arts and Dastardly Deeds at Hogwarts

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is full of nasty folks doing evil things. Draco Malfoy is back and there are Death Eaters around every corner - but there's nothing in this book that isn't fun to read. Even when someone dies, it's way better than what happened to poor Sirius Black.

The Bottom Line

O for outstanding! Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is one of the best Harry Potter books so far and will keep you glued to the pages until you're done. It has one heck of an ending too! If you've read it, what do you think of the ending? Let us know!
