Kenny the Shark
Kenny is not your typical shark. Aside from being obsessed with sushi and the neighbor's dog, Kenny is a pet. Yep, you read right. Kenny the Shark is the pet of a lil' girl named Kat, and her family. Let's face it, a pet shark would be a little different than an average dog or cat. Kenny's a tiger shark, so his instincts often make him try to eat the neighbor's dog... or the occasional pizza delivery boy, but Kenny tries hard to curb his sharky instincts so he can stay with his best bud, Kat.
Kat: A Shark's Best Friend
Kenny is technically Kat's pet, although he lives with her entire family. Kat is 10 years old and has to do all the pet-related chores, like taking Kenny to the vet and feeding him every day. A lot of people, like Kat's dad, don't get her bond with Kenny, but it's simple - Kat speaks shark, which makes her bond with Kenny the Shark super-tight. (Imagine if you and your dog could chat - how much closer would you be?)
Kenny's Non-Shark Family
Kat's mom, Grace, is very supportive of Kat and her pet. Grace is a psychologist and knows all about the phases of "perfectly normal child development" - having a shark must be on that list somewhere, right? Kat's Dad, Peter, isn't as supportive, but in the end he just wants Kat to be happy. Baby Karl, Kat's lil' bro, is a riot. Being all young and fearless (or stupid, really) he tends to just crawl right up inside Kenny's mouth - a lot. Oscar rounds out Kenny's list of family and friends. He's Kat's best friend and he's from Guatemala where his ancestors invented shark-petting caves. So, Kenny is 'da bomb in Oscar's mind.

There is never a dull moment on this wacky show about the coolest underwater creature. Whether it's Kenny's addiction to sushi, Kat accidently torturing Kenny with her sax playing, or just trying to plan a family vacation, with your pet shark - this is one laugh-riot of a cartoon.
