Man, boys cause way too much drama. I was totally looking forward to going to the dance with the girls and forgetting about Dylan altogether and then he does the unexplainable. He asks me to the dance - the day before! What was I supposed to say? No? I couldn't.
So, I ran around my house the whole day before the dance freaking out and trying to make myself look killer. I managed to find the perfect dress that was stylin' but not too flashy. I hate flash. Dylan showed up around 7:30 and he had a bunch of daisies for me. Do you know how embarrassing it is to get flowers from a boy in front of your nosy 'rents? Very. I ran out of the house as fast as I could.
You have no idea how amazing the dance was. We danced a lot, Dylan told some killer jokes and I was pretty funny, if I do say so myself! Does it get any better than that? At the end of the night he walked me home but there was no kiss. I was way too nervous and I think he was too. There will be other opportunities - but not for a few weeks cuz we're both going on vacay with the 'rents.
I know - I wasn't expecting a big family trip this year, seeing as mom and dad barely speak to each other lately. But we're gonna hit all the hot spots in Cali and, the best part is, Simon is comin' with us! I'm super excited that the 'rents are back to their old selves. Okay, promised to call Dylan before I went to bed. I can't believe this is happening!
