Uncanny X-Men # 381 Comic Review

The much anticipated return of Chris Claremont can be summed up in two words - what tha? Ok, so he knows how to write women and Jean Grey has never felt so real and assertive (it's amazing what stepping out from under the shadow of your husband's visor can do,) but what exactly was going on?

Jean and Cable wander through caves that look like Willy Wonka's piggy bank, run carefree through the streets of Venice during carnival, while doing battle with psisharks and shockwave riders. It may be Chris' vision of the world of the grieving, all disconnected and disjointed. Almost out of body stuff. If not, Heaven help the X-Men.
