Dear Dish-It, I Think I Am Ugly

Dear Dish-It, is here to whisper "ttyl after I've thought about this some more".

Dear Dish-It,

I think I'm ugly. Well here's my problem, basically when I go out places girls 'eye-me-up' and stuff and people, such as my mates etc., tell me that I'm good looking, but I'm convinced that I'm ugly! I don't know what my problem is! I'm not looking for sympathy or anything, I just wanna know why I can't just be satisfied with myself, and take in the fact that "I AM WHAT I AM, AND THAT'S WHAT I AM!!!" Can you help me?!? PLEASE!!!
Mellie_Man

Dear Mellie_Man,

Dude, you've got to get over this fear, or whatever it is, and enjoy the hunky-ness you seem to possess. Girls 'eye-you-up', friends admit you are good looking: C'mon, can peeps be any more direct than that? Still, I know we all have our insecurities, regardless of all the facts that prove otherwise. So why do you feel like this? Peer pressure, girls, and hormones are all examples of what might lower someone's self-esteem. However, there is a reason behind your friends complimenting your looks and girls checking you out. The clues are right in front of ya, now all you've gotta do is take a sec to meditate on these clues and boost up your confidence. Think about all the good things in your life, like your supporting friends, and fight the bummed-out feelings of a low self-esteem.

Dear Dish-It,

There is this girl that I like but every one else thinks she's ugly. I don't think she is, what should I do???
SafetyHazard

Dear SafetyHazard,

Well, what seems to be the problem here? Do you dig this gal? Do you like-like her, or just like her? Either way, the last thing you should be worryin' about is what everyone else thinks, especially about her appearance. Who knows, maybe personality-wise this girl will turn out to be your soulmate, or just a cool bud who's a blast to be around! It's great you're thinking for yourself, and not just jumping on the band-wagon along with the others! Now all you've gotta do is stand up for yourself, and your opinion, and give this girl a chance with romance or friendship. At least get to know her and prove to everyone that you think for yourself.

So, ya gotta burnin' question? Need some love directions? Thinkin' 'bout stuff like depression, sex,how ya feel 'bout YOURSELF (that's called "self-esteem"), boyfriends, girlfriends, losin' old friends, bullyin' or peer pressure, but too scared to ask the parents? Don't be scared to Dish-It here. But 'member, if ya hang out in Chat with other Kidzworld members who know ya by your 'username', ya might wanna use a secret nickname when ya write in. That way no one'll ever know it's you. And, just in case ya don't know, Dish-It gets a lotta letters everyday, and she can't answer 'em all. So keep checkin' the column cuz she's prob'ly answerin' somethin' very similar to your question while you're out doin' somethin' else. K? And Thanks! Ya keep her outta trouble. Oh! And if ya've got words of wisdom you wanna share,We'll dish 'em up, too.
