Spider-Man - Movie Review

Marvel's Spider-Man is finally out and the good news is that the Spider-Man movie kicks butt! Watching Spider-Man is like watching a cartoon come to life on the big screen, complete with high-flying battles, super villains and wicked action. If you're a hardcore comic book reader you'll love how closely Spider-Man sticks to the comics.

Tobey Maguire plays The Amazing Spider-Man and he's the best part of the Spider-Man movie. He has all of Spider-Man's wall crawling, webslinging moves down pat and his costume looks totally awesome! Tobey even does an awesome Peter Parker and makes Spidey's transformation from super dork to super hero come to life.

It's incredible watching all the people from the world of Spider-Man come to life. Spider-Man's nemesis, the Green Goblin, looks wicked when he's on his goblin flyer but kinda hokey when he's just walking around. Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) is cool, J. Jonah Jameson makes you want to throw eggs at him and even Aunt May is awesome. One of the craziest scenes is Spidey's first wrestling match against Bone Saw (Wrestler Randy "Macho Man" Savage.)

Even the Spider-Man movie has its weak moments though. Some of the computer graphics get way too in-your-face, a few super sappy kissy scenes go over the top and some of the fight scenes are clunky or have more computer graphics than a Spider-Man video game! While Spider-Man isn't perfect, the flick still kicks.

Mickey_feature In 2001 Disney released a Christmas Special called Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed In At The House Of Mouse. Now, eight long years later (and just in time for the holidays), the same movie is being re-released on DVD.
Mj_feature Even though This Is It is not really a movie for kids, and some of you may not want to or be allowed to watch it, we thought we'd review it for you because so many kids out there love Michael Jackson.
