The Bachelorette :: Episode 7 Recap

There's more drama each week on The Bachelorette. And week 7 is no exception. Jillian receives two unexpected visitors who stir up some good and bad emotions.

Hometown Dates

Jillian travels to each guy's hometown, beginning with Reid. Reid’s family surprises him with a 30th birthday party. But his affection to Jillian surprises his family even more. Could Jillian be bringing out a new and better side of Reid?

In Michael’s hometown, he and his identical twin brother try to pull the ol’ switcheroo. But Jillian’s no fool, she knows her Michael from a mile away. Excited, Michael can’t hide his lovestruck feelings for Jillian from his family.

Things change from laidback to uptight in Kypton’s hometown. His rich parents aren’t so quick to welcome Jillian. First they put her through a taste test and a rigorous round questioning. But Jillian’s answers seem to satisfy Kypton’s mother’s curiosity, and she admits that she’d love to have Jillian as a daughter-in-law.

Jillian heads to the vineyards to meet Jesse’s family and learn about their business. At first, Jesse’s brother is skeptical of Jillian. But eventually, he warms up to her, and they end the night with some strumming, drumming and dancing.

Two Unexpected Guests

Before Wes’s hometown date, Jake shows up. Trying to protect Jillian from getting hurt, he reveals that Wes has a girlfriend named Laurel. When confronted, Wes denies having a girlfriend, frustrating Jake to tears. When Jake leaves, Jillian decides to trust Wes and visit his family.

Before the rose ceremony, Jillian gets a welcome surprise. Ed is back! And he’s begging for another chance. Ed attends the rose ceremony, forcing Jillian to eliminate two guys instead of one. In the end, she sends home two of the competition’s most genuine guys: Michael and Jesse.
